Moon City complex
The Unified Council of Earth had a meeting. At the end of the meeting, Jack Tompson, leader of the council, announced that there was a unified decision to create a habitable complex on the Moon for humanity. It is going to be called Moon City.

Zone 11: Docking station, for the arrivals and departures of space vehicles, to welcome departing space vehicles.

Going North on the Sea of Calmness we saw the traces of volcanic activity. There were curving lava channels and ditches, and smaller volcanic structures, and between them a larger volcanic crater. This opening leads to an underground, long lava channel. We built the entrance and the entrance buildings of Moon City onto this opening. The lava channel provides good shelter from the meteorites, cosmic radiation and temperature fluctuation coming from space.
Moon City and Other Places (Sequel)
Moon expedition took off from Earth with 10 rockets – shifted in time –and navigated near to the
Moon, where they connected with the space station, which has already been transferred.
360 spacemen travelled with the ten enormous spacecrafts, which were connected by the space station
in Earth orbit. The ten spacecrafts was not only conducting human transport, there were cargo ships
between them, whose purpose was not only transferring 350 people on Moon; transporting families
with children, and single individuals – men and women and children in 50-50 rate – to the Moon.
Ten rockets took off from six different places; from the Russian Federation, from the USA, the
European Union, South America, China and India. They took the material for Moon City from the ten
rockets with a comp to the Moon; apart from building materials, they took heavy machinery and
cranes with themselves.
They discovered signs of volcanic activity, while travelling towards North on the Sea of Calmness.
They found a bigger volcanic chimney amidst curving lava tunnels and smaller volcanic formations.
This opening leads into a longer lava tunnel below the surface. They built the entrance of Moon City,
and the entry buildings onto this opening. The lava tunnel provides good protection from the
meteorites and cosmic radiation coming from space, and from the fluctuations in temperature.
We can find impact craters in every size ranges, from 1000 km diameter basins to micrometer-sized,
small craters observable on mineral particles, on the Moon. Volcanic activity formed enormous lava
plains, on which wrinkle ridges, lava tunnels and other features are telling the tales of their formation.
In terms of erosion, we can only talk about moon dust created by smaller meteorites and debris
coating.
On the highest point of the entrance there is a dome. They entered the dome area. It is tens of
thousands of square meters. When they walked through the exit corridor, they could see into the
botanic block through the glass walls. All kinds of plants in long-long rows: tomatoes, paprikas,
salads, potato fields, crop fields. Fruit trees, apples and grapes, in a separated part some lemon-,
orange- and banana-gardens. This is where they produce food for the population. There were men and
robots working around the fields.
They crossed the airlocks, to the outside. They looked up to the entrance building. Solar cells have
been placed on the roof for almost 10 square kilometers. They walked by the laser cannons. Laser
cannons look up to the sky of the Moon. They spy space, find every asteroid that is approaching the
moon base. When an asteroid flies especially close by, an alarm goes off, and the laser weapons start
shooting the asteroid. The large stone breaks into smaller parts, which fly on beside the Moon.

Arnold Schwarzenberg, mineral researcher, and Jasna Milankovic are newly engaged. They asked
permission to take a trip on the other side of the Moon.
„Let’s choose a star for ourselves” Jasna said.
„Let’s do that. That will suit me.” Arnold pointed at a star of the sky.
The Earth, the blue planet, covered with clouds, shined bright on the sky of the Moon. Earth, glowing
in blue and white, is a very strong contrast to the bare surface of the Moon. In fact the Earth never
rises and sets on the sky of the Moon.
„The diameter of Earth looks four times as much as Moon looks like from Earth.”
Their eyes ran through the surface of the Moon.
„The orange surface looks the most beautiful. A picrite-basaltic lava-fountain sprinkled its tiny melt
drops, which quickly solidify into glass, and thus they preserve the molten composition of the moon’s
coat.
Martina picked a bit up from the surface. „Look how beautiful it is!”
They arrived at the Mooncraft station.
They sat into a one-man moon-vehicle separately. Arnold went in the front, and Jasna followed him.
Arnold changed directions, and he moved the Titmouse playfully left and right.
One of the interesting causes of the missing atmosphere is that the observer standing on the surface of
the Moon sees the sky to be black, the stars to shine even during daytime, and visible even right next
to the disk of the Sun, due to the deficit of diffuse light.
The two Titmouse flew across the sky of the Moon. They were transparent, as medusas are. One of
them was shining in a bluish, the other in a pinkish color. One ran ahead, the other got behind. The one
in front slowed down, and the other got up to it, and went ahead. This repeated several times.
The sky-crossed blue planet, Earth, shines bright on the Moon sky.
The surface looked quite different, than what they already visited; there were more craters, less basalt
plains, which are more often on the side we knew better. That’s the reason why wheeled or chain-
wheeled vehicles would be a bit dangerous to navigate without the exact knowledge of the terrain.
„Do you remember? When we were on the Advent, at Mohács?” Jasna asked.
„At the start of advent, every illuminator, every lamp turns on. But where is Christmas? If you only
turn on one lamp at a week, light one candle at a week, then you are going to enjoy yourself. Time
slows down.
If you go by car, you don’t see the little flower next to the road. If you go by bike, you might miss the
animals of the area. If you walk, stopping from time to time to bend down, you catch a glimpse of the
essence, the colorfulness of the world.”
„Moon anorthosite, the matter of highlands” Arnold said. „Their color is bright. They consist nearly
nothing else, but feldspar crystals. Once it was composed from nice, big crystals, which shattered from
the many collisions, impacts, quakes. An even more shattered mineral world turns up in front of our
eyes if we observe breccias in the microscope. The mill of impact grinds, their whirlwind distributes,
and its heat bakes the debris together.
How does a Titmouse move on the Moon? It glides on the ground, lifted by an anti-gravitaty block,
and its gyroscope makes possible for it to balance stable above the ground. They solved moving with
engines. The other type moves several meters above ground. It is possible to set up the elevation
controller. At the border, there is a vehicle stop, where you can change vehicles. They ascended on the
vehicle stop.
They abandoned their vehicles on the dock. The control system indicated that the charging started.
They crossed to the Titmouse row.
„I choose the blue one. And you?”
„The pink one!”
It is not completely dark even after sunset on Earth, as light scattering on the molecules of the
atmosphere daylight changes to nighttime gradually. On the Moon there are no traces of dusk,
shadows are very sharp.
Arnold stopped with the Titmouse. He waited for his bride. Jasna hit the brakes hard, and came to a
halt next to him.
„We will get to the change station soon enough. There we will change vehicles. We can also take a
short walk then.”
„You can see the inn from there.” They looked towards Aristarchus. Lights flashed on and off; the
flickering light was the result of volcanic activity.
„Look out! Jasna! You left the path.”
Jasna was moving very slowly towards the bottom of the crater.
„Turn on the cascade switch!”
At this moment, the ground broke in with great noise under Jasna. Jasna disappeared into one of the
lava tunnels.

A group arrived with boats. They crossed the river, and river Danube was flowing with grace. When
they reached the shore, they moored the boats. They got out, and started towards Kolo square.
Amongst these buso-men walked Arnold, all dressed up. When they reached the square, they saw
many other groups reaching it as well. There came the cannon-busos. They stopped the cannon. The
devil-wheeled, chariot-, horn-, carpaced- and other buso groups were arriving. They fired the old,
front-loading buso-cannon once. At its thunder, the other different groups rushed into Kolo square.
The Carnival started.
The traditional clothes of the buso is a turned-out short fur, a pair of trousers filled with straw, and
colorful woolen tawdry stockings pulled upon that. They wore sandals on their feet. The fur was held
together by a belt or cattle rope on their waist, and the cowbells were hung upon that. Some of them
were rotating a clapper, others were holding up the many-feathered wooden mace.
The people wearing masks carved from willow, and hoods prepared from sheepskin painted with
animal blood provided a very strange sight.
